Meet Our Inspectors
Dave Skaggs
After almost 22 years of serving on active duty in the Air Force, Dave Skaggs and family decided to retire and make South Georgia home.
Dave specialized in many areas that has given him abilities to excel as a home inspector. As an Air Force Technical Instructor, he taught principles and fundamentals of electronics, HVAC and mechanical concepts, along with advanced troubleshooting skills utilizing schematics/structural resources. As a quality control specialist, attention to detail has become second nature. These skills and more have enabled a smooth transition into the home inspection industry.
As members of their local church, Dave and his wife Donna enjoy meeting new people while finding ways they can serve neighbors. They have a son a son, Micah and 2 furry 4-legged puppies. They look forward to building a relationship while helping you take your Next Step in your real estate transactions.

Micah
Micah was born here in South Georgia but moved around a lot being a dependent of an active-duty AF member. He started his primary school education in the Azores, Portugal and finished high school when graduating in central New York. After graduation, the family moved back to Valdosta.
Micah pursued his core education for college and obtained his associate degree from Georgia Military College in general studies. While currently undecided what he would like to do for his lifelong career field, Micah decided to join dad with the home inspection business and has received his Certified Professional Certificate from InterNACHI. He has proven to be a huge asset to the Next Step Inspections, GA's team!
Micah likes to hang out with friends and bass fish when he has down time. You can also often find him in the drum cage at Crosspointe Church on the worship team.
